Story and Mission
Fuse Project is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing the spark for innovation , funding , and implementation of projects benefiting children along Alabama ’ s Gulf Coast . In partnership with The Historic Avenue Foundation , Fuse Project invests in initiatives promoting the health , fitness , education , and social responsibility of our children . Since our inception in 2012 , we have raised over $ 2 million to fund 49 high-impact projects in our community . In 2015 , Fuse Project established a membership organization called Order of Fuse , a diverse group of outstanding young professionals looking to give back to their communities in a unique way .
The Historic Avenue Foundation operates as a community quarterback to bring the Purpose Built Communities model to “ The Avenue ” community located in downtown Mobile . Together , we are making investments in mixed-income housing , cradle-to-college education , and community wellness to close the opportunity gaps that exist in our community . If you are interested in learning more about our plans or getting involved , please just reach out !
Fuse Project also operates a socially responsible co-working space , Fuse Factory , located conveniently in the heart of downtown Mobile . Fuse Factory offers private offices and communal space memberships . We also welcome business event rentals in the space . Schedule a tour to see this beautiful space for yourself !
How To Do Some Good :

Left : Fuse Factory was created by Fuse Project . As a nonprofit itself , Fuse Project saw a need in the community for a place organizations could use collectively to expand their reach . Offering space at below market value with shared amenities significantly reduces overhead and allows these organizations to focus more on their mission .
