Warren Yunker (pictured Left) is currently Clinical Assistant Professor, Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery,
Department of Surgery, Cumming School Of Medicine, Alberta Children’s Hospital/University of Calgary, Calgary, AB. He
graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Environmental Biology from the University of Alberta in Edmonton and
then earned his MD at the same University, before graduating with a PhD in Cell Biology and Physiology.
His residency and fellowship training has been in Otolaryngology at the University of Calgary and then Paediatric
Otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, Texas, USA.
Barry Hoffman (pictured Right) grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate
studies and Dental School. His specialty training in Orthodontics was at the University of Minnesota, culminating in a
Clinical Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science degree in Anatomy. His research described the Craniofacial
pattern of families of patients with Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Dr. Hoffman has been in clinical practice in Calgary since 1977. He was a founder of the Calgary alumni component of
Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity in Calgary, served on the Board of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and is
currently a clinical instructor at the University of Alberta Graduate Orthodontic Program. Dr. Hoffman lectures
internationally on the topic of Computer Assisted Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) of orthodontic brackets. His
interest in airway diagnosis, the relationship of predominant oral breathing, and development of the facial complex has
been an integral part of his practice.
