Alan S. Rudakoff, Q.C., “Loss Prevention – Avoiding Malpractice Claims and Discipline Complaints” Friday, September 14, 14:00 to 15:00 Alan Rudakoff has practised civil litigation since graduating from law school in 1982. The first 35 years of his career were spent at the Macleod Dixon/Norton Rose Fulbright law firm. In December 2016 he moved his practice to Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP, which was a better fit for his clients and his practice. Alan has appeared as counsel in the Provincial Court of Alberta (Civil and Criminal Divisions), Court of Queen’s Bench, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has extensive experience in alternate dispute resolution proceedings and has acted as a mediator in the successful resolutio n of insurance claims. Mr. Rudakoff’s practice is principally in the tort/liability defence and insurance fields with an emphasis on the defence of sophisticated, complex commercial claims, including product liability, commercial liability, fire/explosion, energy, aviation, professional negligence, and serious personal injury/wrongful death. He regularly acts for a diverse group of international insurers and multinational manufacturers and have wide experience handling all manner of liability, property and casualty claims. Mr. Rudakoff has also acted as a professional sports agent, certified by the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA), representing players in their dealings and negotiations with professional sports teams.
