The Human Arm Puppet
This puppet is very similar
to the glove puppet and
usually
needs
two
puppeteers to manipulate
the puppet. They are much
larger
in
size.
One
puppeteer puts the arm
through the puppet to hold
the
main
body
and
manipulate the head. The
other person uses his/her
arms (sometimes with a
glove) through the sleeves
of the puppet to allow
complete and arbitrary
control over the arm
movements.
The Shadow Puppet
Shadow puppets are flat,
two-dimensional figures
that are placed between
a light source and a
translucent screen so that
the audience on the other
side can see the shadow.
Some shadow puppets
are
created
with
translucent
coloured
material that allows the
creation
of
coloured
shadows.
