Hiding Holiday Weight Gain
The Christmas season is a great
opportunity to show off your “not-quite
slutty enough for the bar” dresses and polish off an extra bottle of vodka per sitting, but unless you’re one of those women who never gain weight, the celebrations come with a price. Often, we don’t even notice how much weight we’ve gained over the season until we’re mid-party and realize more leg is hanging out of those fishnets than usual. There are different ways to make that extra fat less obvious to the other wives, usually
involving exercise and dieting, but those are really far too much work. Military wives are far too busy socializing to work out, and most diets mean we can’t continue to enjoy our bon-bons and almondillos. Really, if we can’t eat what we want, how will we ward off the deployment blues? If you’re a bit self-conscious about your post-holidays appearance, you may try to hide the rolls with these commonly used fashion tricks.
These ladies look so slim!
Go Black: The best way to go about making yourself look thinner is by wearing darker colours. Avoid beiges and whites as they tend to show more shadows, while blacks and darker colors create the illusion of weight loss. If you need to hide your tummy, you can try using dark colored shirts or thick belts. If you are attempting to make your bottom look smaller, you might want to go darker colored skirt or pants.
