TMS BIO Page 56 Biographies Yadin David, Ed.D., P.E., C.C.E., works at Biomedical Engineering Consultants LLC, a consulting firm focusing on the optimization of life cycle management of medical technology, including risk mitigation, patient safety, compliance validation and operations efficiency issues. He spent 35 years working with colleagues and societies on addressing clinical engineering issues such as professional credentialing, forensics, litigation support, and product regulatory compliance. Additionally, he authored many clinical engineering articles and books over his career. Previously, Yadin has been Director for the Biomedical Engineering and Center for Telemedicine at the largest pediatric medical center in the U.S. He, also was awarded several national recognitions from the Commissioner of the FDA (2001), the ECRI Institute for Best Customer Service Program (2006), Best Technology Integration Program (2007), AAMI humanitarian engineering achievements (2008), and ACCE lifetime achievement award. Lastly, he is active in technical standards development field where he served on the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET), on the Committee on Health Care Safety of the Joint Commission (JCAHO), on the National Fire protection Association (NFPA) and where he presently serves on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel and is the Chairman, International Federation of Biological and Medical Engineering (IFMBE), Clinical Engineering Division. Lastly, Yadin is honored in the BMETWIki Hall Of Fame. Rogelio Leyva Ochoa, MSTSM, works in the Biomedical Engineer and Electromedicine Provincial Center of Stgo. de Cuba since 1976. He received his bachelor´s degree in telecommunication engineering at Julio Antonio Mella Superior Polytechnic Institute in 1985. In 1998, he worked in Honduras as member of PAHO´s program during two months. Rogelio received his master degree in telecommunication systems (digital transmission) at University of Oriente in 2000. He worked for 2 years as service engineer in Jamaica’s North East Regional Health Office from 2000 to 2002. In 2003 he began working as joint professor at the Technology Faculty of the Superior Institute of Medical Science of Stgo. de Cuba, and in 2004 obtained instructor professor, in 2005 taught as joint professor in the department of Biomedical Engineering of University of Oriente, and in 2009 promoted to assistance professor. Rogelio traveled to Venezuela to train biomed technicians in ultrasound on 2010, he received domestic training in medical equipments and in Japan, he did research into how the lateral resolution affects the quality of the diagnosis in ultrasound imaging and electrical safety.
