Why not pack up and leave? Many people would. I have insisted on staying. This historic, chaotic, and wondrous city is my home. I’m a Londoner now and I won’t be intimidated, as I have adopted some of that stoic spirit that has come to define London. In spite of all these tragic events, Londoners have continued to band together and have shown the world their incredible strength, and resilience in the face of terror and horrific loss.

I had other ideas for this issue but after London Bridge, and especially now after Finsbury Park and Grenfell Towers, I felt it important to dedicate an issue to this magnificent city, and show the world why it’s one of the greatest cities in the world.

Mr. Johnson, I am not tired of London.
