Denise Castro, M.H.E., M.A., is a lecturer in the kinesiology department at California State University, Monterey Bay, and health education at Hartnell College. Her teaching and interests revolve around use of the cloud and WEB 2.0 to capture student interest, with a pedagogical approach that is engaging, practical, challenging and creative.

Marsha Chan, B.A., M.A., Stanford University, is the senior member of the English as a Second Language Department and is among the first distance education instructors at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. The recipient of several excellence awards, she frequently presents at regional, state and international conferences, and at public and private organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

Janet Chang is the director of health services at San Jose City College. She is also an instructor of Health Education, HED 011, Dynamic Health Concepts.

Alex Cheroske's educational background (B.A., M.S., Ph.D.) is in marine biology, but he began teaching human anatomy and physiology in 1997. His first full-time teaching job was at Moorpark College, California, where he discovered how good online learning can be using Elluminate. He subsequently developed his first online human physiology course. Since then, Alex has become full-time faculty at Mesa Community College in Arizona and has continued instruction in varied formats through continued teaching of the Moorpark course and the development of a new online anatomy and physiology course at Mesa.

Hilary Ciment received her BFA from Cooper Union in New York City and her master’s degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. As a faculty member of Foothill College, she teaches fully online Drawing I, II, III, Portrait Drawing, Painting and Two Dimensional Design courses. In addition to teaching fully online art classes, she is a member of the Committee on Online Learning and is also the chair of the art department.
