Entrepreneur Fei Lee made his mark as the man about town when it comes to outfitting folding bike enthusiasts with Pacific Cycle Birdy bikes. He shares his humble experiece with The Malaysian Foldie..

FEI LEE's foray into the bicycle business began three years ago on the behest of a customer.

After a series of trial and error experience, Lee is now Malaysia's official distributor for Pacific Cycles.

The brand covers products such as Birdy, Carry Me, IF and Reach folding bicycles.

Prior to that, Lee was selling used bicycles sourced from Japan.

"My core business is surveillance equipment for security.

"I have commossioned CCTVs (Closed Circuit Television Cameras) for factories and residential areas and bicycles

was something very new to me at the time.

"My client started a business and I followed suite and found that it was no easy task," he explained.

Lee's bike shop: GW Bicycles became well-known among beginners in search of inexpensive bicycles.

The used bikes that was sourced from Japan became and instant hit in the Klang Valley.

It was later that he had carved a nice in upgrading bicycle for his clients.

"Some people want more from their bicycles, they just can't afford a new bike and my solution for them is to retrofit

the bikes with better components. And if need be, the bikes go through a transformation from a basic ride to a

souped-up bike."
