Three's company

Tern Bicycles introduces three more new models for the 20" and 24" folding bike market and we are likely to see them here!

AT least three more new folding bikes from the 20" and 24" categories respectively are expected to hit our shores

by the first-quarter of 2014.

K2 Asia product executive Kevin Fong told The Malaysia Foldies that two more additional models will be added to the Tern Verge platform.

"At the 2013 Eurobike show, Tern announced their latest bikes: the Verge P9 and P20.

"These are affordable rides from the successful Verge series and the company has developed a simpler bike with a 9-speed drivetrain like the Verge P9 for the beginner's market.

"For the more discerning folding bike enthusiast, there's the Verge P20, an upgrade from the existing Verge P18 in the Verge family," he explained.

The 20-speed Verge, which is priced to go, features premium components that are hardy enough to perform in

day-to-day usage.

"Think of the two bikes as the scaled-down and affordable versions of the Verge X10 and X20, I am sure that there

will be a good response for these new Terns when we get them by early next year," added Fong.

The Verge P9 is a basic no-frills bike meant for beginners who want a reliable bike with a decent groupset and

rugged components.

First-time cyclists would not be dissapointed with the Verge P9 as good quality components from SRAM are used

and with its sporty appeal, this would be an ideal bike for inner-city commutes as well as leisure rides.
