of the Prophet (pbuhahf), whose
voices and words of truth shook
the halls of mosques and cities,
awakening their nations to the
truth. Please note that I
recognize Imam Ahmad AlHassan (a.s) to be the awaited
Yamani (a.s) and messenger of
Imam Mahdi (a.s), whose
arrival was prophesied by
Prophet Muhammad (pbuhahf)
and his family that he will be
sent by them at the end times
to all humankind. He is from
the Progeny (a.s) of Prophet
Muhammad (pbuhahf) and
therefore I hold his words as
authoritative. Please do share
your thoughts!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------May the peace, mercy and
blessings of God be upon you
my Imam Ahmad al-Hassan
(a.s).
I’ve been interested in the
issues of social justice and
human rights ever since I was
young. The amount of suffering
and injustice in our societies
has always been painful to me.
I’ve worked in some social
organizations in the field of
human rights and lately my
work has been related to
women’s rights in Islam in
particular. I believe that the
jurisprudence and rulings of
God Almighty are entirely
merciful and just and that they
protect the dignity of the
human being in every time and
place. However, through my
work I’ve come across some
questions regarding women’s
rights in Islam that confused
me, and I haven’t found an
answer to them. I am asking
you some of these questions
because religion is often used to
justify injustice toward women
and prejudice in regards to
their rights. I am asking you
because I am truly searching
for the will and wisdom of God,
and I truly wish to understand,
because the only way to lift
suffering and injustice from the
people is through the will and
wisdom of God. I apologize in
advance for my ignorance, and I
am striving to improve by your
knowledge. I ask God that we
are as you Ahlul Bayt (a.s) wish
for us to be, and that He
supports you with the clear
opening, God willing.
