I disagree with such a society
that places the blame of the
weakness of men entirely on
the shoulders of the most
strongest vessel that that same
society has, the woman. The
patriarchal culture which has
taken control over translating
the religious texts and
recording the narrations has
twisted and organised things in
such a way where it has
usurped the power for itself
and blamed all the ills of the
world on its mother, sister,
wife and daughter.
It has marketed the divine
feminine as something that
must be controlled and
contained, something unruly
and out of control that must be
beaten into submission and in
doing so it has negated itself of
any responsibility and
marketed itself as the helpless
one that has “naturally” fallen
for the ways and charms of the
woman. There were many
societies in history which were
matriarchal and honoured the
divine feminine, but over time
that has vanished and the
woman has become a creation
to be seen with suspicious eyes
and used as commodity or
manufactured as an object to
sell a particular image,
corrupting the power and
honour bestowed upon that
creation by the Creator, Most
High.
I believe rather than looking
towards that same patriarchal
society to change ITS ways, the
sisters must come together and
change their OWN ways. How?
By empowering themselves and
owning their own space. By
reaching out to one another
and creating a space to help
and learn. This is the only way.
