Lady Fatima

All praise is due to Allah swt. The only
Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and
all in between, all Sovereignty belongith to
Him swt alone, the Living, the Just, the
Manifest, the Supreme. His swt Wisdom is
unfathomable and boundless, the Lord of
visible and invisible, the female and male
that we discern and of what we know
not, all that the inhabitants of the Heavens
and the earth and all in between
surrender to Him swt- willingly or
unwillingly and in Him swt do the
believers put their trust.
Be regular in prayer, and pay the
poor-due, and obey Allah (swt)
and His (swt) Messenger (s). Allah’s
(swt) wish is but to remove
uncleanness far from you. O Folk
(as) of the Household (as), and
cleanse you with a thorough
cleansing.
33 Al-Ahzab : 33
Oh Allah swt, send my sincere salutations
and greetings to Muhammed s.a.w, his
AhlulBayt a.s, the Imams a.s and the
Mahdi’s a.s, and please allow us to be
devout Muslims InshaAllah.
Of the believers are men who are
true to that which they
covenanted with Allah (swt). Some
of them have paid their vow by
death (in battle), and some of
them still are waiting, and they
have not altered in the least; That
Allah (swt) may reward the true
men for their truth, and punish
the hypocrites if He (swt) Will, or
relent toward them (if He (swt)
Will). Lo! Alah (swt) is Forgiving,
Merciful.
33 Al-Ahzab : 23-24
As a mother, Lady Fatima a.s is the be all
and end all of examples. She reared the
heroes of Islam in her sons and daughters
who , like their mother, also stood bravely
in the face of tyranny and injustice. The
children of Fatima a.s are single-handedly
responsible for the revival and resurgence
of religious and moral law. The house of
Fatima a.s and Imam Ali a.s produced the
saviors of humanity and the most exalted
personalities in Islam, including the Martyr
of Islam, Imam Hussain a.s, son of Imam Ali
a.s and Fatima s.a- and Grandson of the
Holy Prophet Muhammed s.a.w.
This blessed house is further mentioned in
the Holy Quran. One day, the Prophet
Muhammed (s) read the following verse
from the Holy Quran:
In houses which Allah (swt) has
permitted to be exalted and that
His (swt) name may be
remembered in them; there glorify
Him (swt) in the mornings and the
evenings.
24 An-Noor : 36
The Prophet (s) replied, " Prophet's (s)
houses."
Another man asked, "Is Fatima's (sa)
house among these houses?"
The Prophet (s) replied, "Yes, it is
among the best of them!".
Following the death of her father, The Best
of Creation, Muhammad s.a.w, Lady Fatima
a.s was subjected to unprecedented
oppression and her rights were usurped.
She stood strongly against such injustices
and continued the Legacy of he father,
Muhammad s.a.w, enjoining the good and
forbidding the evil for the sake of Allah
swt. Many nights, she would go to bed
hungry because she had given away the
little food she had to the poor. Her
devotion to Islam was rivaled by no one
before her or after her.
Imam Hassan a.s, (her eldest son) said
"On Friday night, I saw my mother
standing in her prayer niche. She
was continuously kneeling and
performing prostration until the
dawn broke. I would hear her pray
for the faithful men and women,
but she did not at all pray for
herself. I said, "O mother a.s, why
did you not pray for yourself like
you prayed for others?" She, a.s,
replied, "My son, first the
neighbour, and then your own
house.".
Lady Fatima a.s put others before herself
and viewed happiness in a sublime
manner. Indeed, to Lady Fatima a.s,
happiness and felicity is not found in life's
luxuries, materialism, nor wealth. She firmly
believed these were temporary items and
would be lost in the passage of time.
Instead, true tranquility was found in the
moments spent in the way of Allah swt,
which is the path of righteousness,
generosity, and intellect. Lady Fatima a.s
neglected worldly items because she knew
they were a distraction that would lead to
the decline of character, virtue, and the
negligence of our own development as
individuals.
History has recorded one woman as the
emblem of intellect (scientific, cultural,
religious, and social) generosity, piety,
justice, bravery, and virtue and it is Lady
Fatima a.s. The lessons taught by her
school are needed today by a world that
seems convinced a woman cannot be
