you, that surely Allah (swt)
guides the hearts of those
whom He pleases, and that we
were all created from either the
clay of the Ahlul Bayt (as) or
the dirty-stinking clay, and
surely Allah (swt) does what
He wills.
Bismillah Al Rahman, Al
Raheem.
By the blessing of Allah (swt), it
was our honor to meet a new
brother today who lives many
hours away from us in
Alexandria, and his name is
Na'eem. After spending some
time talking with him and
hearing his story, it absolutely
inspired this article, and may
Allah (swt) make it an
inspiration for all of us in
regards to seeking sincerely
with all we have, no matter the
circumstances. When brother
Na'eem was 20 years old, he
could not accept the Sunni
school of thought, whether it be
the Salafiya, Ansar Sunnah,
Takfir al Hagrah, etc. Etc....it
didn't matter, it all fell under
the branch of Wahabia or the
Wahabi's and his heart did not
believe in it. He simply could
not understand how they
would speak about the Prophet
Muhammad (sawas) in this
way, as if he was just a
“postman” delivering a
message, and not the Prophet of
Allah (swt), the best of
creations. He says today that
they “took the message and not
the messenger of Allah (swt).”
He noticed that many of the
Muslims in his area would not
make their prayers, their
obligatory Islamic acts,
committing haram, but they
would all gather for the Friday
Ju'mah prayer. His heart was
torn between being dissatisfied
in the teachings and practice of
Islam in his community, and at
the same time in fulfilling his
own obligatory acts for the
Friday prayer, as he knew the
hadith about those who miss so
many Friday prayers, but he
wanted to seek the truth and
stay far away from those who
were speaking this way
towards the Prophet
Muhammad (sawas).
It was here for a period of five
years that he would remain in
the streets during the Friday
Khutba, and at the time of the
Iqamah he would enter the
mosque and begin praying.
Even then this was
dissatisfying to him completely,
and he truly believed in his
heart that this was not the
truth, and there was a deep gap
in his heart and something
huge missing in his Islam.
