feelings of other people in mind
as well.
4) Movement from ones home
and possessions
Imam Hussain (a.s) left his
home for Karbala, knowing that
he would not return. The grief
of not coming back to the
House of Allah (swt) or the city
where his grandfather, Prophet
Muhammad (s.a.w) lived and
the sorrow of not being near the
house of his parents, Ali (a.s)
and Fatima (a.s) and being so
far from the grave of his
brother, Hasan (a.s), leaving his
ill daughter, Sayyida Sughra
(a.s) and so much more for the
sake of Allah (swt) is
unimaginable but Imam
Hussain (a.s) accomplished it.
Hear the beauty and the
immense faith of Imam
Hussain (a.s): Imam Husain a.s
told Sayyida Zainab (a.s): "My
dear Sister, do not let Satan
defeat your Patience. All
inhabitants of the earth and
heavens taste death, but God
the Almighty, Who created all
creations with His Creative
Power, is ever alive. He shall
one day resurrect and revive all
the dead people (for the Day of
Recompense) just as He created
them in the beginning out of
nothing……….”
5) Quotes from Imam Hussain
(a.s) from which the reader will
learn so much:
Immortal words by Imam
Husain: “O God, what did he
find who lost you, and what
did he lose who found you?”
“Some people worship God to
gain His gifts; this is the
worship of the merchants. Some
worship Him to avoid His
punishment; this is the worship
of the slaves. Some worship
Him solely to show gratitude
towards Him; this is the
worship of the free!”
“Death with dignity is better
than life with humiliation.”
“God forbid that I should set
my hand to the resignation of
my right after a slavish
manner. I have recourse to God
from every tyrant that doth not
believe in the day of account.”
“O son, beware of wronging
one who does not have a
supporter other than Allah.”
