Arelationship , I think , is like a shark , you know ? It has to constantly move forward or it dies , - says Woody Allen in his magnificent Annie Hall . Just change the subject to “ a company ” and we have a summing up of both the entrepreneurial vision of Giammarco Bisogno , founder and CEO of Emma Villas , a leading Italian company offering short-term luxury villa and residence lets , and the reason why Emma Villas opened its first store in Siena , followed by those in the Argentario and in the Emerald Coast , as part of a journey that will make its way to other Italian regions over the coming months . Giammarco Bisogno recounts his “ vision ” and how it has turned into a success story in his office at the Emma Villas headquarters , close to the town of Chiusi where he was born fifty-six years ago . An hour naturally filled with memories , but above all a focus on the future : no longer just – or so much – for himself , but for the people who have chosen to follow him and who work with him in the company today ( more than 100 internal and external staff ) and for the wonderful locations home to more than 500 prestigious villas and homes managed by Emma Villas today .

President Bisogno , how and why did you choose to work in the field of luxury villa and residence holiday lets ?
Giammarco Bisogno and his colleague and friend Riccardo Ansaldo
I come from a family of building contractors and my father opened a real estate agency here in Chiusi . I started following in his footsteps , but I soon realised that I wanted to work in a line of business that could ensure constant growth over time . I came into contact with exclusive villa lets thanks to the activity of an American company . I studied it carefully and thought that it could be a way to build the future I was looking for . In 2006 I founded Emma Villas . I will be forever grateful to my friend and teacher Riccardo Ansaldo for helping me in those first years to give concreteness to my path ; I wish he was still here at my side .
Which place has most inspired your journey as a man and entrepreneur ? Definitely Siena and Tuscany . Some things pass and some remain . There are places capable of crystallising an idea , of making one feel the strength of an intuition , even before the mind can understand and rationalise it . For me this place is Siena . It has been my inspiration as an entrepreneur and as a man , a place from which I drew my lifeblood and which continues to fuel my passion for beauty . Even today , in this era of mass tourism , approaching this area and Italy with deep curiosity , welcoming and accompanying guests in the experience of travel
