Lei è Maty Saladino , violinista siciliana d ’ eccellenza che la vita ha portato a Trequanda dopo aver suonato in trio con i due fratelli e in un bel po ’ di orchestre di alto e altissimo livello . Stavolta l ’ accompagna il padre , che è anche il responsabile del suo avvicinamento alla musica . Ne faranno due di pezzi , per noi e chi si è affacciato in chiesa in quegli istanti , con una bravura che fa irrompere la sensualità dolente del tango nel pomeriggio toscano .

Anche questo ci portiamo via , insieme ai sapori e ai paesaggi di una giornata speciale . La tratta di treno che da Asciano ritorna a Siena coincide con il tramonto , e a guardare fuori dai finestrini è come se l ’ idea di bellezza che accompagna queste terre avesse voglia di strafare . L ’ intero anello ferroviario , che nella città del Palio parte e ritorna , è lungo 142 chilometri , ma le emozioni che accompagnano il viaggio sono difficili da misurare . Il telefono comunque , quando arriva sera , misura ben più di diecimila passi . Per una giornata all ’ insegna del treno , tutto sommato , appare un ottimo risultato .

The train trip from Asciano back to Siena coincides with sunset , and , looking out the windows of the train as it passes , you get a sense that the idea of beauty that moves through these lands is quite simply breathtaking and cannot be exaggerated .
