THE ROLE OF THE TUTOR
Students arriving at Sevenoaks School are assigned to a tutor , who looks after them , helps them and guides them in all they do during their time in the Lower School .
Tutors meet their group of tutees every morning . Their aim is to help their tutees to settle into a new environment , to get used to new work habits and to get involved in co-curricular activities . These meetings may comprise a group discussion or oneto-one time ; some days may feature a quiz , game or just some life organisation .
The tutor is the first point of contact for parents with any questions or concerns . Students stay with the same tutor for their two years in the Lower School .
