William with no hesitation leaped forward and attacked the lion, biting deeply into his neck. Once William released his teeth, the lion dropped dead on the floor. William didn’t realize that he had killed the lion, until he tried to wake him up and he wasn’t budging. Now, William was in a horrible situation. William was scared and didn’t know what to do, and all of a sudden he heard voices from afar. William was frozen in shock. He had just killed his own kind in cold blood. William stared at the body in shock, asking himself what had he just done. As the voices got closer, William decided to run away, far far away. William ran for days, which turned into months, which then turned into years.

William left everything behind, including his beloved aunt. He didn’t even have a chance to say goodbye. As William ran, he felt guilty day by day. He was now officially lonely. All William had was the wilderness. One pro came from William running away though. As the years passed by, William had grown stronger and more independent. He wasn’t scrawny anymore and he was more ferocious than ever, but he had nobody. No one to help him. No one to acknowledge him. He only had himself. As William grew further and further away from his people, his innocent mind started to fade. Now he had the true mindset of a lion, everything was food.

William had traveled far and wide, and finally, after many years, he decided to go home. The journey back only made William stronger, ripping everything apart. Finally as a year had passed, he saw his old home from far away. William made his way slowly towards his old home, reminiscing of his childhood. How everyone taunted and laughed at him. How everyone doubted him. How the older ones looked at him with resentment and cold eyes. His anger started to boil up. Eventually, after a long walk, William had arrived.

As he entered the vicinity the lions all around him looked at him like how they used to when he was younger. With cold and hateful eyes. They all stared at William as he walked towards the king. The king, also looked at him with resentful eyes.

“Who are you?” The king asked.

William inched his way slowly towards the king, not replying to his question. So quickly, so suddenly, William bit into the neck of the king. The king dropped dead and everyone’s expression changed. Fear spread across their faces. William turned around casually, and smiled.

“I am your new king.”
