Add user process Display keypads only : Now , by default when a user code is added , it automatically has the ability to open and audit locks . As such , unless Time Delay override is required , users can skip straight through to Add user and press Enter , without having to specify the privilege to open and audit .
Timelock restrictions On the 704-705 models , when timelock is active it is now only possible for the Master to change time and date . Manager codes no longer have this ability .
Updating existing locks Firmware can be updated in the field using the LA GARD USB Interface for 700 Series , and setup and audit cable . A software license is not required to carry out firmware updates , the RRP for the kit required is £ 42.75 ex VAT , and software can be downloaded from our website :

Keypad Standard keypads with a depth of 34mm have a removable battery tray housing two 9v batteries . Low profile options with a depth of 21mm are available and require a separate battery box , but still have a battery connector for emergency power . Mains power is also available as an option .

Certification As with the legacy LA GARD range , 700 Series is certified to EN 1300 Class B ( Vds class 2 ), which means that it ’ s suitable for use on EN 1143-1 safes up to Grade 5 , and use on EN 14450 S1 or S2 safes . It ’ s also an option for gun cabinets certified to SS302:2020 – the Sold Secure standard for Firearms cabinets .
700 Series Training Roadshow In partnership with dormakaba , we are proposing to run a training roadshow at dormakaba facilities throughout the UK in early 2023 . This training will be provided free of charge , so that locksmiths and engineers can gain more experience of 700 Series .
Commands The current LA GARD process of ‘ holding down the last digit for 2 sets of double beeps ’ has been renewed with # commands . Whilst different , the processes are just as quick and easy . Here ’ s an example to change a user ’ s code :
