I would just like to say a big thankyou ! Having only recently become selfemployed I found it to be quite a big decision to invest in the 10 day auto locksmith training course . After speaking with Nicky and Robin I felt suitably reassured that Hickleys were best placed to provide the training I needed , due to the vast level of expertise in the auto locksmith industry possessed by them .
I found the course itself to be extremely well structured and also to be set out at a good pace . Not too fast , not too slow . The training was given by master locksmith Andy Marshall , his wealth of knowledge was fantastic and his ability to pass it on in an easy to absorb manner really helped . I found the course so good that I actually didn ’ t want it to end .
Although the course itself was fantastic and worth the cost alone , an extra addition not to be overlooked is the ongoing support from the tech team at Hickleys provided for all candidates who complete the course . This is worth its weight in gold . The experts in the Hickleys diagnostic and key programming department are amazing .

Most locksmiths will recognise that Hickleys ’ company background is firmly rooted in specialist vehicle repair and the team offers a huge range of specialised services such as mechanical repair , diesel fuel injection , specialised electrical and electronic , Air conditioning , ADAS systems and diagnostic solutions .
This puts Hickleys in an ideal position to share these skills and services and run a selection of IMI approved courses in the training academy . Robin Huish of Hickleys was also proud to announce that the MOT training in the IMI training centre is “ finally ” up and running , commenting : “ After installing the latest spec connected MOT bay last year and achieving IMI approval for these new courses , we had to suspend all training in our academy . Then the DVSA suspended MOTs and many centres temporarily closed .
“ We were poised to start in November only for Lockdown 2 to stop us in our tracks again . Determined to win through when schools re-opened we could finally put on our first Centre Managers course this week . I am pleased to say the course went extremely well with a 100 % pass rate .”
Domestic locksmith training
Hickleys domestic courses are all centred around non-destructive opening of all types of locks from Cylinder , dimple , mortice and the most complicated new high security locks .
A range of courses from two-day to eight days are available for either new beginners or experienced locksmiths looking to hone their skills on the latest lock styles .
Renowned trainer Jason Hillier is a “ magician ” in opening locks and teaching students the art of lock picking . There are currently five courses available and more details and start dates can be found out by calling 01823 320604 .
