TRIMETALS PLEDGES TO REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRINT
» LEADING MANUFACTURER OF HIGHquality metal garden sheds and storage solutions and Secured by Design member company Trimetals Ltd , has pledged to reduce its carbon footprint as part of the SWMAS “ MAKE IT NET ZERO ” programme .
“ We are thrilled to be part of the MAKE IT NET ZERO programme ,” said Garry Smith , Managing Director of Trimetals Ltd . “ We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are committed to reducing our carbon footprint . We believe that all companies have a duty to take action to tackle climate change and we are proud to be doing our part .”
As part of its commitment to the programme , Trimetals Ltd will be working closely with the SWMAS , the Manufacturing Advisory Service for manufacturers in the South West of England , to identify areas where it can reduce its carbon footprint . The company will be looking at its manufacturing processes , supply chain , and energy consumption to find ways to reduce emissions .
“ We are delighted that Trimetals Ltd has signed up to the MAKE IT NET ZERO programme ,” said Don Parsons , Net Zero Specialist , SWMAS . “ The programme aims to help manufacturers in the South West region of the UK transition towards netzero emissions . By working together , we can achieve our goal of a more sustainable future .”
The MAKE IT NET ZERO programme is part of a wider effort to tackle climate change and reduce greenhouse gas
emissions . It is hoped that other companies will follow Trimetals example and sign up to the programme , making a significant contribution to the UK ’ s efforts to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 .

BIKE WEEK 2023 : KEEPING YOUR BIKE SAFE
Bike Week is held throughout the United Kingdom every year as a way of recognising and celebrating the many benefits of cycling . This year , Bike Week 2023 took place from the 5th to the 11th of June ; offering best practice for cyclists to follow when it comes to keeping their bike safe , alongside practical crime prevention methods .
» SECURED BY DESIGN ( SBD ) AND Police forces across the country run awareness campaigns around cycle crime , with SBD continuing to work with cycle lock manufacturers and providers of cycle infrastructure to improve security standards . In partnership with Sustrans and the Bicycle Association , the Standards for Public Cycle Parking has been published to promote good practice .
