The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the world’ s most important design competitions. Each year, more than 10,000 submissions from over 60 countries are evaluated by an independent

With this award, the D31x Series ranks among the most outstanding design achievements of 2026.
Innovative Door Communication for Modern Buildings
The models of the D31x Series were specifically developed for multi‐tenant buildings, residential complexes, and commercial properties with up to 3,000 units. They combine a contemporary design approach
with powerful IP technology and offer a wide range of innovative features. Key highlights include an integrated RFID reader and QR code reader, a virtual keypad, Bluetooth, a 4D motion sensor, and a 7‐inch touch display module that remains fully operable even in wet conditions. The high‐quality Sony STARVIS image sensor delivers razor‐sharp Full HD video images.
Another major advantage is the modular design: components such as the display module can be replaced quickly and easily if required – an important benefit for installers, operators, and property owners alike. Thanks to complete remote configuration
via app and web browser as well as seamless integration into numerous smart home and IP access control systems, the D31x Series offers maximum flexibility and everyday convenience.

» THE DOORBIRD D31X SERIES HAS been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. With this distinction, the international jury recognizes the sophisticated product design of the professional IP video intercom systems, which combines functionality, durability and design clarity.
The Red Dot Award is one of the world’ s most renowned distinctions for product design. Key evaluation criteria include degree of innovation, formal quality, functionality and longevity. The D31x series particularly impressed the jury with its reduced aesthetic and its system architecture consistently tailored to professional applications.
Designed for demanding architecture and large buildings
The DoorBird D31x series was specifically developed for use in large residential and commercial properties. Thanks to its scalable system architecture, it is suitable today for installations with up to 3,000 units, meeting the highest requirements in terms of planning reliability and investment protection.
From a design perspective, the D31x series offers extensive customization options: the integrated 7‐inch touch display can be individually configured; the door stations themselves are available in portrait or landscape format, for flush or surface mounting, and in more than 50 colors and finishes. The 3‐millimeter solid metal front plate ensures durability in daily use and supports long-term value retention.
As with all DoorBird products, the D31x series is continuously further developed. Accordingly, the D315G will be launched this year – the world’ s first IP video door intercom with 5G.
