“ Because we manufacture the products, then supply them to distributors, we don’ t always get the chance to talk to the end user; shows like the Expo provide us that opportunity. For us it’ s the best type of market research as we are in the middle of thousands of locksmiths and security specialists, for three days. It’ s an invaluable experience – talking to the people who sell the products, fit them, use them.
“ The best thing about our van security range is that almost every single locksmith has a van – so they can

benefit from our products themselves before they even start selling them. It’ s the best way to try out a product, and recommend it. If they have it on their own van, protecting their own business, what better way to endorse something?”
Van Guard also put in a stint at The Garage, where they ran four Van Lock Awareness Training sessions guiding attendees step-by-step through fitting the ULTILock Hooklock. Van Guard’ s Senior Engineer, Len Stocker, covered dos and don’ ts on the preparation, tools and installation of their hooklock as well as running through their range of shielding products.
