JMA Introduces New Key Boards
Any great locksmith’ s shop or key cutting business will always have a wide stock of key blanks available, often covering entire walls behind the counter or lining displays throughout the workspace. These key blanks, plus the way they are stored and organised can make a noticeable difference to workflow efficiency and customer service.
» OVER THE YEARS, A VARIETY OF methods have been used to store key blanks: hooks on wooden boards, slatwall panels, handwritten sticky labels, and string tags have all had their place. While functional, these systems can be inconsistent, timeconsuming to use, and visually cluttered.
Colour-Coded System The standout feature of JMA’ s new key boards is their colour-coded system. Each board includes a distinctive colour flash in the top right corner, allowing similar key blanks to be grouped together. This not only improves the visual organisation of your shop but also makes it easier for staff to quickly find the correct key blank at-aglance when duplicating, cutting down on search time and improving accuracy.
It’ s a simple upgrade, but one with real practical benefits— especially in busy retail environments where time and clarity are essential.
Clean Design, Solid Construction
These new key boards have been thoughtfully designed with both form and function in mind. Made from 0.6”( 1cm) thick Foamex board, they’ re both lightweight and durably built. Each board measures 24”( 60.9 cm) high and 12”( 30.5 cm) wide, providing ample space for a large number of key blanks while still fitting neatly into most shop layouts.
The front of each board features highquality printing that clearly displays the type of key it holds. Titles above each row indicate the key manufacturer, while underneath, the key profile and code are shown alongside a life-sized silhouette of the key. This thoughtful visual layout ensures fast identification and reduces the risk of selecting the wrong blank.

Each board is supplied with the hooks already assembled and can be purchased either blank, or complete with boxed key blanks, giving locksmiths full flexibility depending on their existing setup and needs.
