A Successful Year for APECS , Plans for 2025 & a New Year Baby
We caught-up with Natasha Pugh , Sales Director of APECS , to get an update on how the year has gone . It ’ s been a full-on year with successful launches of the AP 3-star modular cylinder training courses and matte black AP Euros , as well as the first MLA Open Day .

It ’ s great to hear about business growth , but there ’ s something else growing too : Natasha is expecting ( possibly a future locksmith ) and will be going on maternity leave soon .
Modular Training Success The modular training courses have been a huge success , with every session fully booked through the end of the year . Since launching in June , we ’ ve held 10 courses to date , with three more scheduled that are now fully booked .
These BSI-approved courses are free to attend — participants simply need to purchase the APECS Modular Kit for £ 150.00 + VAT , which enables them to assemble the cylinders on-site .
Each course provides hands-on training on our 3-star modular cylinder range , allowing locksmiths to :
• Build cylinders to size on-site , eliminating the need for repeat visits ;
• Switch ends ( making hanging a thing of the past ); reducing stock by carrying modular components , offer a variety of thumb turn options , including no . 8 shape , oval , and rounded designs , catering to customer preferences ;
• The training has received outstanding feedback , with attendees traveling from across the UK ; including as far as Aberdeen .
• To ensure the best training is provided , each session is limited to seven participants .
• Looking ahead , more courses will be scheduled for 2025 , with dates to be announced soon — stay tuned .
• All sessions are held at our HQ in Tipton , West Midlands , lasting approximately four hours .
