What job did you do before ?
I did a standard warehouse job before becoming a locksmith , but I wanted to explore other opportunities . Then I discovered a locksmith school and thought it looked interesting so decided to pursue it . After completing my training , I gradually started taking on locksmith jobs for family , friends , and coworkers while continuing to work at my original job , which helped me become more comfortable in the field .
What do you like and dislike about your work ?
What I like most is helping people when they lose their car keys . It is very satisfying . What I dislike is when a customer who has lost their key or gets locked out calls for help , and after accepting the job , they find their key or way in but do not inform you and avoid contact instead of being honest .
What ’ s it like living in California ? What do you in your free time ? Any hobbies ?
California is pleasant but costly . I like to play chess , hang out with friends , and make videos . I ’ m also researching auto-locksmithing to understand which cars I can work on .
If you couldn ’ t be an auto locksmith , what would you do instead ?
Good question . Honestly , I don ’ t know . I started schooling because I disliked my job and was looking for a trade . Locksmithing came up , so I enrolled and loved it . Now , I can ’ t picture myself doing anything else .
Any business plans for 2025 ?
I plan to enhance my locksmithing skills by attending trade shows like American Key Supply and learning about European and luxury cars .
What are the most popular cars in the US ?
In my area , Honda , Toyota , Ford , and Chevrolet vehicles are most popular .
What would you change about the industry if anything ?
Hard to say seeing as I ’ m still technically new in the industry , it ’ s a great industry to be part of and I ’ m still learning myself .
