When Life
gives you
lemons
Eagerness is growing ahead of the FIFA World Cup. However, for
some injured players, the anxious battle of recovering in time must
be at its peak.
Amongst these players is one
of the world’s most highly paid
footballers, Neymar, who suffered
a fracture to his fifth metatarsal
and a sprained ankle.
The Brazilian star underwent an
operation before beginning the
progress of reintegration and it is
said that he was operated on by
the same doctor who operated
on, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima.
Ronaldo suffered an injury in
1999-2000, when he snapped
a tendon. After his recovery,
he suffered another shattering
obstruction when in his first game
back he suffered a complete
rupture of the tendon in his knee.
However despite all of these
setbacks, in 2002 he went on
to win the world cup for Brazil
and become one of the world’s
best players! Behind his victory
was hours of hard work and
determination.
The question now is, will Neymar
also make a victorious return and
win for his team?
It is said that Neymar’s condition
will be re-evaluated around mid-
April, to see whether he can
return to training or not. The race
against the clock to be fit for the
World Cup in June has begun.
Neymar, however, seems to have
adopted an optimistic attitude,
as shown by some of his social
media posts.
If, like Neymar, you are facing
a setback, and life is playing a
prank on you, remember always
to keep a positive outlook on life.
Your mind and your thoughts
hold immense importance over
how you handle a situation. If you
believe that the worst possible
outcome will prevail in your
situation, then the odds are that
you’re setting yourself up for
failure.
On the other hand, if
you keep an optimistic
outlook, no matter what
the consequences, you
will never feel defeated.
Remember, for every
setback, God has a major
comeback and here at the
UCKG we teach you about
an intelligent faith. To learn
more about this come
and join us for our main
meetings every Sundays
at 10am, where we disclose
tips on how to use faith in
an intelligent way.
