CHARLIE HEXTALL & OSCAR EDGINTON - LMSS CHARITY REPS 2017 / 2018
First off , congratulations from both of us for smashing your exams and getting into an ace university !
We are Oscar and Charlie , your Charity Reps !
Once again , the LMSS will be supporting Claire House , an amazing children ’ s hospice on the Wirral which is very close to everyone in the societies hearts and Wirral HeartBeat , a cardiac rehabilitation centre as our second charity . This year , it ’ s our goal to raise more than the previous year , which is going to be a challenge as Maddie and Alex raised over £ 21,000 and we are going to need your help to do this !
Over the course of the year , we will be putting on loads of events from the classic raffles at the all the balls to the Charity Talent Auction ( A personal favourite of Charlie ’ s ). In conjunction with this , we will be creating a charity committee , with a rep from each year , so if you want to get involved , please give us a shout on charities @ lmssonline . co . uk or via Facebook at LMSS Charities . Be sure to drop us a like to stay in touch with all the events we will be running .
We are also very proud to let you know we are going to be running a national three peaks challenge in September as our first big fundraiser in which we will be attempting to climb Ben Nevis , Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours , so if you want to get involved , don ’ t hesitate .
We both had the best time at Liverpool as Freshers last year and the society was a big part of that ! Some of our best nights were at LMSS charity events and we can ’ t wait to create some of our own for you guys . Our advice is don ’ t be shy and get involved !
