OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOGS By Stephanie Finne / DACHSHUNDS By Stephanie Finne The Checkerboard Animal Library never disappoints! Each book gives details of the dogs from their origins through characteristics, needs and if suitable for families with children and life expectancy. There is also a section at the end letting the possible upcoming owner of how long the pups need to stay with their mother for proper nourishment and growing time after birth. Did you know most pups are born blind and without the ability to hear? Their eyes open after two weeks and then after two more weeks they are able to see, hear and play. Much more can be learned by reading these books! Highly Recommended by Elaine Hayes
