After, he reached his destination, he carried on with his life in the wild. Chris met people while he was traveling across the county, some of which became very attached to him. Chris left a very huge impression on the people he met along the way. Some people thought he was a total “nut job,” as others thought of him as an inspiration. Or even as their own son. He didn’t last but a couple of months in the wild. They found Chris’s body on a bus only weighing 67 pounds, he had died of starvation. Chris left such a big impression on one gentleman that he met, that after he found out that Chris was dead, he withdrew from religion, and became an alcoholic. The reason he did this was because he refused to believe that God would let such a horrible thing happen so such an amazing young man.
