young man who went by the name of "Alex Supertramp" was found in a bus in the Alaskan wilderness. His real name is actually Chris McCandless. After graduating from Emory University, he donated $24,000 to charity and left. McCandless traveled all across the country in his car, which he abandoned after it got caught in a flash flood. Chris told people that he met along the way that it was a "challenge to himself to live with as little belongings as possible." He kept a journal of his travels and the events that happened during the week whether they were good or bad. His body was found by a couple of moose hunters 19 days after he died of starvation.
