J
osh Noble (Psychology 2010) grew up in small town
Saskatchewan. Though he loved living in Evesham, he
knew that post secondary study would mean a move
elsewhere. He wanted to study in a Christian post secondary
setting and to play on a sports team—both very ordinary
wishes. In order to do so, Josh first went to Prairie Bible Institute
in Three Hills, Alberta.
After two years there, Josh hoped to continue in both areas,
and found King’s to be a great place to do so. He pursued
his studies and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology. Being an excellent student was rewarded by the
Governor General’s Academic Silver Medal for having the
highest graduating GPA at King’s. He also played on the
Eagles basketball team where he showed great leadership
skills. Over his time in post secondary education, Josh was
given 16 different awards related to his high academic standing,
his leadership skills, and his athletic ability. This combination is
truly remarkable!
During his time studying at King’s, he presented papers and
posters at a number of national and international
conferences. Twice he presented at the Connecting
Minds Conference hosted by Kwantlen Polytechnic
University/University of the Fraser Valley, once
he presented to the Royce Conference at the
University of Alberta, and once at the national
conference of the Canadian Psychological
Association in Montreal.
After graduating, Josh took on the position as
Admissions Counsellor in the Enrolment Services
office. His job entailed travelling to various schools
and churches to talk about all the offerings
available to students who attend King’s.
As a recruiter for King’s, Josh is always
helpful to prospective students and
parents and thoughtful about the
work he does.
In the meantime, Josh and another
King’s student Vicki Biel (Biology
2011) were getting to know each
other very well. Vicki was still
completing her degree, so it
was handy to keep in touch on
campus while one worked and
the other studied.
This past summer the outcome of the relationship was a
wonderful celebration, when Josh and Vicki were married.
