The Kingdom Project presents: Sparks of Glory (February, 2014) | Page 4

Look at an image of a dog, a cat or even a cow: the head sits on top of their body and the tail sits at the end. The positioning is not by accident because the head guides the body and the tail just blindly follows. What about the game “Follow The Leader”, do you remember playing it and did you enjoy being the leader or the follower? If you are like me you loved being the leader. The circumstances are just the same when you are a Christian. Having an identity in Christ means you will always be on top. You will stand in the center on the first place podium and collect the gold medal. Deuteronomy 28:13 (NIV) states “The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord, your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.” Even more so you will be prosperous, blessed, never wanting for bread, water, suit of clothing or even a toy. Being the head and not the tail means that He will supply all your needs and when you feel discouraged or just sad, you can be hopeful that God has placed you on TOP to be the head and not the tail, you will lead the way. Do you love to win? Can you remember the feelings you have when you win a race, a game or a sport? You will be pleased to know that being a Christian, having an identity with Christ; winning is the foundation. It comes as a part of the package from the beginning to end. Being the head means you are on top, victorious rather than the tail, at the bottom and losing. This is the way it works: picture an inflatable arm band, every time someone tries to pull it, push it or tug it under the water it always floats right back to the top. This is the type of power you hold, no matter how life pulls, tugs or knocks you under water you will ALWAYS float right back to the top, prosperous, victorious, leading the way. Romans 8:37 (NIV) “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” The next time you overhead someone saying “I am proud to be a Christian” you will know it is because they are the head and not the tail, leaders, prosperous, victorious and abundantly blessed. The coin is being flipped now so you decide: HEADS or TAILS?
