CONNECTING Alumnae
A MESSAGE FROM THE CHS ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION
The Alumnae Association continued to focus on our five-year strategic plan : Creating Capacity for Connection . The 125th anniversary of the School and all its activities reminded us of our strong and diverse group of 4,500 + Crofton House alumnae , and of all the achievements , contributions and world experiences that they collectively bring . Whether finishing an undergraduate degree at university , taking a gap year , achieving a career milestone , managing work and family , or volunteering time for the betterment of communities , there is so much to celebrate and learn from each other .
This past year saw a range of events and efforts to enable connection across all alumnae age groups , both on and off campus . Lively book club exchanges with the CHS parent community , knitting with Grades 4 and 5 , jamming for the Winter Bazaar , and pickleball Sundays brought alumnae together on the CHS campus . ‘ Alum mums ’ were represented across most grades , and young and long-time alumnae gathered in Victoria , London , New York and Hong Kong , as well as on university campuses across Canada .
The second year of the Alumnae Career Exchange drew interest from those in finance and accounting , real estate , marketing , medicine , law , environmental and social causes . Opportunities for alumnae of all ages and backgrounds to exchange with current students through debate judging , the Senior School Career Conference and Grade 12 Capstone projects were enlightening .
Finally , in late May , the Alumnae Association Graduates ’ Tea welcomed our newest alumnae , the graduating class of 2024 . Congratulations to the Class of ’ 24 Frames Per Second — we look forward to helping you stay connected so that you can leverage the wealth of experience and connection our CHS alumnae family can provide .
Whether at alumnae and School events or with parents , teachers and School staff , 125 years of Crofton House have given us a lot to celebrate . This coming year , the Alumnae Association will keep that energy going as we look forward to celebrating its 110th year .
