Celebrating 25 Years

CHS GOLF CLASSIC
The sun shone down on the UBC golf course as the CHS community gathered to participate in the 25th annual CHS Golf Classic on May 26 .
For the second year , this event supported the enhancement of the CHS Athletics program and its athletic facilities , including Kent Field , to provide more opportunities for CHS students and our community partners to practice , play and compete yearround in exceptional facilities .
As always , it was a sold-out event , and this year it raised over $ 311,000 in revenue ! Thank you to everyone who participated and made this fun-filled day so meaningful .
A special thank you to all of our sponsors , including our presenting sponsor , Tom Lee Music , courtesy of Elsa Li .
KENT FIELD LIGHTING PROJECT UPDATE
Efforts to add four stands of lights to the perimeter of Kent Field continued throughout this school year , starting with a neighbourhood information session in September . The next step is for engineers to assess the current condition of the electrical system so that the findings can be included in the scope of the project . The aim is to have the project out to tender this fall and to have awared a contract for construction by spring 2024 . The work will begin soon after , depending on permits required by the City of Vancouver .
Thank you to our committee members for their time and dedication !
