We heard from some of our returning athletes about what it means to have competition back on campus :
“ This was my first actual track meet . Because of COVID , we didn ’ t have an actual track meet last year , so this was my first and I found it really fun !” – Grade 6 student Beatrice
“ It ’ s nice to see that everyone ’ s back here again . I haven ’ t been in a situation like this for about two years , so it ’ s really exciting to be able to do the things I love again .” – Grade 7 student Zoya
“ The community that Falcons Athletics creates , coming into a new environment and having your friends come together , your peers supporting you and other grades supporting you — it really draws connections between people .” – Grade 9 student Makenna
“ With every sport , there are moments during competition or practice in which we win , lose , cry , laugh and sweat together . Making core memories and contributing to a team is why I enjoy participating in CHS athletics , regardless of the outcome .” – Grade 10 student Rogan
