Lala

Bayles

INDIGENOUS SUPERMODEL

Guala “Lala” Bayles walks the runway with pride and grace, representing her Indigenous culture and beauty. Born in Brisbane Queensland, a proud Birri Gubba (QLD) and Wonnarua (NSW) women, this young 17-year-old supermodel is chasing her dreams.

After winning the 2016 Aboriginal Model Search, Lala has made some sacrifices to pursue her modelling career. She moved from Brisbane to Sydney leaving behind her mother and brother. She is currently experiencing the financial hardship independence brings, and not to mention the expenses of living in the “big smoke”. Lala has signed non-exclusively with Mink Models and Terri Creatives which allows her the freedom to choose the work she wants to do, including charity work, community events, and acting roles.

Driven by the lack of Indigenous representation in the fashion industry, her passion and determination, Lala endeavors to do all she can “to ensure equal representation to show the world that Indigenous people are beautiful inside and out.”
