More MoonEye
Makers to Meet!
This month, Mooneye Studios enlisted the aid of Will Morton and Craig Connor, both formerly of Rockstar North to
provide the audio for Lost Ember. The duo recently formed
Solid Audioworks, and provide sound, music, dialogue, and
production services for games and film.
Will Morton is the former Senior Sound Designer and
Dialogue Supervisor of Rockstar North. His credits include
the Grand Theft Auto series, L.A. Noire, and Red Dead
Redemption. In addition to his 12 years of experience
in audio production for video games, he has also done
similar work in the film industry.
Craig Connor, formerly a music composer at Rockstar
North, has a career that spans over 20 years. He composed the soundtrack for the original Grand Theft Auto,
and has since worked closely with Rockstar Games Cofounder Sam Houser to create soundtracks for the entire
series. Some of his other credits include Midnight Club
II and Manhunt.

team, contributing to a number of award-winning projects. (For

behind the studio, be sure to check out the sidebar.)
How did this partnership with Solid Audioworks come to be?
That’s an interesting story, actually. Speaking about Will and Craig,
Graff revealed that “when they were looking for new games and
challenges, they came across the first article about us in IGM (so a
big thanks from us), and after the first email and Skype chat were
soon intrigued by Lost Ember, and offered to produce the sound,
music and dialogue.” To that I’d just like to say, you’re welcome,
Mooneye. We’re extremely honored to have played a small role in
helping Lost Ember find its voice. (And thanks to Will and Craig for
checking out the Magazine, too!)
As the team at Mooneye Studios heads into another month of development, they have a new set of goals to accomplish. With the
new website successfully launched, and Lost Ember’s first episode
coming together from a story perspective, it’s now time to get
the game presentation ready. Despite whatever obstacles stand
in the way, Mooneye is committed to completing their demo and
teaser trailer. But now, they also have the added responsibility of
maintaining their website and blog, which the team would like to
update frequently.
