and a foreign ruler who tries to convince them of her intentions.” After quite a while of waiting, we can finally confirm the name of the tribe the city belonged to: The Mathu’un. What’s even more exciting than the name of the tribe is that, during these sequences, “You will be able to explore the Mathu’un village, see how they lived and hear conversations between the villagers that used to live there.” But the revelations don’t stop there. Mooneye is finally ready to announce another major component of Lost Ember, and Cooperative multiplayer certainly adds an exciting dynamic to the exploratory puzzle nature of Lost Ember. Though it does come with a brand new set of questions: Is there only one wolf? Given that the wolf has the power to possess other animals and gain direct control of them, is the second player also allowed to swap between animals? Do players have to stick together, or can one fly off ahead and scout areas while another hunts for secrets? These are all good questions... that I probably should have asked Mooneye about ;) IGM is happy to provide a platform for this world exclusive scoop: “We have been working on a great, new feature for Lost Ember for some time now and are happy to announce that you will be able to play Lost Ember with your friends! Lost Ember will have a multiplayer mode that let’s you run across the level and fly through the woods with a friend. We already have a working prototype and probably will have something to show in the next couple of weeks. The multiplayer feature really puts the game on a whole new level, we think. It’s just too awesome to explore the world of Lost Ember, find hidden secrets or fly through a canyon in a swarm of parrots with a friend.” Stay tuned to Game Watch and we might just get some answers. We’ve been covering Lost Ember for nearly a year now, and we’ve seen the game go through many ups and downs. It’s been an exciting journey to help document Mooneye’s approach to development, and I’m equally intrigued by where the project will go. That said, there are a couple of other games I’m interested to beginfollowing for the Game Watch segment beginning in 2016, so it might be a while before another Lost Ember update rolls around. If not sooner, we’ll try to check in just before the Kickstarter campaign and offer another update. Until next time, game watchers! www.indiegamemag.com
