Conchis crafts her music around the dichotomies of light and dark, beauty and roughness. Her eclectic style blends electronic, pop and experimental music with touches of cinematic soundscapes.

Growing up in the Finnish archipelago, Conchis discovered her love for music at an early age. In the remote countryside, she nurtured her creativity and developed her own imaginative world. She started singing before she could talk, picked up the violin at seven, joined a choir a few years later, and began writing her own songs with a guitar at fifteen. She then founded a band with her friends, but has now set out on a solo venture.

Her debut solo album, Chapters (out October 25), is a personal account of human experiences, including loss, yearning and desperation. Despite touching upon her struggles with illness and grief, the album isn't solely a somber one. Instead, it's a blend of melancholy, twistedness and gripping emotion.

She began writing her debut album in 2017, but had to put it on

hold for many years due to falling ill with Chronic Fatigue

Syndrome (ME/CFS).

Struggling with ME/CFS, she was often unable to make music and

feared she might never be able to again. When she finally

resumed making music, she could only work on the album for brief

sessions and take a few vocal takes at a time. Rather than viewing

this as a negative constraint, the necessary parameters have

instead infused the album with rawness and vulnerability,

reflecting her journey through illness.

Recently, Finnish electronic alt-pop artist Conchis welcomed

listeners into her inner-world with 'Cray Cray', an

emotionally-charged introduction to her forthcoming album,

Chapters. Now it's the turn of 'Trouble' to expand upon Conchis'

cinematic blend of electronic, pop, and experimental music.
