Commander 1 Signal Brigade addresses the parade

16 SIGNAL REGIMENT RESUBORDINATION FLAG PARADE , 31 MAR 22
On 31 March 2022 , 16 Signal Regiment under Lieutenant Colonel Robin Foster hosted Brigadier Phil Muir MBE , Commander 1 ( UK ) Signal Brigade . The day was a commemoration of the Regiment ’ s re-subordination from 11 Signal Brigade to Brigadier Muir ’ s command . The occasion was marked by a flag changing parade in which the Comd addressed the Regt and a subsequent medals presentation ceremony .
The day began on the Stafford Station parade square with soldiers and officers from 16 Signal Regiment sporting their new 1 Sig Bde flashes and formed up in good order . After everyone was at the position of attention with both RSM Beach and SSM Rabin looking on , the 11 Signal Brigade flag was lowered , and the 1 Signal Brigade flag was raised in its place .
Following the formal flag change ceremony , the Regiment and Bde staff fell out to a quick working lunch and

Both operational and LSGC medals were presented
and flowers presented to their families who were also in attendance . The Bde Comd taking time to speak to each family and stress that the achievements of their loved ones were enabled by their support .
The Regt now looks forward to its ongoing role under 1 Signal Bde ; the deployment of logistical formation headquarters as part of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps .

rank range cohorts within the unit to conduct focus groups . The groups discussed the Regt ’ s current state , development plans , the current global environment , and future events they would share moving forward . After the focus groups had concluded and with a quick turnaround into service dress , medals were presented to seven soldiers in the Warrant Officers and Sergeants ’ Mess .
