Extras
There’s an app for that
Check and refresh your plan and kit twice a
year—when the clocks shift is a good time.
Check all expiry dates and replace food and
water with a fresh supply. Check batteries and
replace as needed.
Keep your cell phone or mobile device fully
charged. If you still have a landline, make sure
you have one non-electric phone to use during
a power outage. Cordless phones will not work
if the base is not getting power.
The official Canadian Red Cross Be Ready app offers
life-saving resources, right at your fingertips. The Be
Ready app gives users instant access to information
needed in order to prepare for different emergency
situations and to take action when a disaster strikes.
Available in both English in French, download on
iPhones, iPads or Android devices
