Eva Antonel has been a resident of Essex County for the past 44 years. She has gone to school, married, raised a family, met lifelong friends and made a living by working with books and magazines in this, her chosen city. When she is not working with words, she is either reading or writing them for pleasure. Angelica Haggert has two BAs from the University of Windsor and is currently studying media convergence at St. Clair College. She loves all things theatre, words, chips & dip and giraffes. She’s mom to Franklin the dog and Samwise the cat, and has a moderate Twitter addiction. Forgive her in advance, because she will correct your spelling, no matter who you are. Shelbey Hernandez holds a degree in English, Language and Literature from the University of Windsor and is currently working towards getting her journalism diploma at St. Clair College. Aside from writing news and feature stories, she also writes poetry. Originally from Windsor, she now lives in Harrow with a love for the county and the city. Rolling out an issue of The Hub takes an entire team writers, photographers, editors and artists. Here’s the team that came together for the November 2014 issue - we're glad we got to connect with them and hope their stories and photos connect with you. Michael Haggert is one of those guys who literally puts the food on the table for his wife. While he waits for the city to realize backyard chickens are a good idea, he’s making his own pasta, putting up jam from the backyard berries or canning sauce from his homegrown tomatoes. Shelley Divnich Haggert reads, writes and teaches in Windsor, and has been part of the local & national magazine industry for 15 years. She has three daughters, and is “Grandma” to a hedgehog , a parakeet and a min pin/poodle cross. She lives with her husband, and Thor, a dog who’s afraid of thunder. Alex Antonel is a LaSalle native living in Toronto. By day she vegetates in a cubicle, proofreading romance novels. By night she weaves through crowds at rock shows, samples craft beers and marks up erroneous ads on the subway with her blue Sharpie. Taylor Busch is a journalism student at St. Clair College. She’s a newshound who writes about health, education and other matters. Taylor is The Hub’s new intern and is a welcome addition! Sean Frame is a student at St. Clair’s MediaPlex. He also writes graphic novels, reads comics and books. Currently he interns at AM800 and one day dreams to own his own online geek media outlet. November 2014 - The HUB 5
