Class: Drama/Theater Beginning Drama: This class introduces you to the world of acting and all of its wonders. It’s way different than any other class you have ever taken. Believe it or not, students actually get to talk in this class. Okay, maybe not talk when Mr. Lebovitz is teaching but students do get to dive into things such as performing skills, improv, and dialogue. This class brings out even the most shyest person and allows them to find their self confidence. This class is where lifelong friends are made. Advanced Drama: If you liked beginning drama, then you will continue into advanced drama. Here kids learn to professionalize their acting. Students will mature while still having a blast. Students also get to make more decisions in school events like the haunted house or the plays. No one will ever find themselves bored or idle in either of these classes. Club: Drama club is a small family that is always looking for new members. They meet on Mondays at lunch to deal with things mostly involving the upcoming plays. For instance, they work on flyers, posters, and decorations. And sometimes they relax and play improv games. Your lunch will never be dull in drama club. Interviews: Christian Dixon~ Logan Karren~ Why do you like drama? -It’s a way for someone to express other personalities. What got you involved in drama? -In 8th grade my friends joined the class just to take an easy elective but I actually ended up really enjoying the class. Why is it important to take drama? Drama allows people to be unique. They can explore all realms of consciousness to better appreciate life and people. What is your favorite play? Why? Wicked is my favorite play because it talks about controversial topics. Why do you like drama? -It’s a place where you can express yourself without being embarrassed. What got you involved in drama? I took the class in middle school. My teacher was a big inspiration for me to continue on. Why is it important to take drama? It teaches people what crowds are like and how to be confident in yourself. What is your favorite play? Why? Into the Woods is my favorite play because the music is brilliant and beautiful.
