A Schematic Plan for The House Project
The House project will occupy the majority of
the site, on both the east and west sides of the
harbour. Grandma's House will be situated in the
Bridge Tavern, for which I will only focus on the
development of the exterior landscaping. The
Link will have to accommodate foot passengers
only, but be accessible for all and not disrupt
water traffic coming in and out of the harbour.
The City Farm will be developed in plan and using
perspective views, to establish the livestock that
will be kept and the activities that would occur.

The House
The design for The House will be fully developed to the scale of the room, with further materials and
detail development explore in volume 3. The design concept takes inspiration from a literal house and the
different rooms commonly found in one. In each of the rooms the related skills will be taught by a
member of staff from a local partner business.
Partners of 'The House'
Partner Businesses would be approached by Portsmouth City Council to form a mutually beneficial
relationship with The House Project. The Partners would supply volunteers to teach skills to young adults
in the House, whilst The House project would provide Partners with publicity and recognition within the
city, as the best in their field, with the potential for some financial return if the project was a success.
