The Title 1 students and their
families at Meadowview Elementary
enjoyed a fun-filled evening together
on Thursday, Sept. 22nd. “Chalk One
up With Reading and Math” Night
began with a pizza supper and fellowship. The evening’s entertainment was
chalk artist and ventriloquist, Mr. Rod
Snow. Mr. Snow engaged the audience
with sock puppets, student volunteers, humor, and his amazing chalk
drawing. His inspirational message
encouraged each student to work hard
in school and learn to enjoy books.
Mr. Snow shared a story about eagles
from a book. He then associated the
persistence of
the eaglets to
our students and
the dependency
of the eaglets on
their parents,
to our students’
teachers and
parents. Mr.
Snow used his
eagle story in
the chalk art and
then donated
the finished
product to the
photos submitted
Title 1 program. To end the evening,
