kites, and a candy drop will occur at noon and 2:00.

Mayfest Celebration May 6 and 7: A Shipshewana
tradition since the mid-1980s, this occasion brings
together both locals and visitors for a fun-filled, smalltown two day event.
A parade, 1 mile fun run, kids games, music, donkey
basketball, and of course, local food, are all offered
so the public can celebrate the lighter and brighter,
more festive days of summer. Special events take place
8 am - 9 pm Friday and Saturday.
The LCCVB invites any LaGrange County residents
to participate in the May 7 Mayfest parade. To

Annual Calf Day Celebrated at Cook’s Bison Ranch
June 11: Enjoy a day of family fun from 10 am to 3
pm where the music is great, the food is delicious, and
the buffalo still roam. Free wagon rides to see bison
along with plenty of kids’ activities.
Outdoor Opportunities
Flea Market Opens May 3: The Midwest’s largest
flea market is open every Tuesday and Wednesday
from May 3 through the end of October, 8 am to 5 pm.
Visitors will find 900 vendors everything from produce
to pictures, clothes to cleaning supplies, antiques to
arts and crafts, and much more.
The flea market will operate on extended hours
on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day,
open Monday through Wednesday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Garden, Art, Antique, and Green Outdoor Show
Held May 7: Held in conjunction with Mayfest, this
show features vendors of garden, art, green, and
antiques on the Antique Gallery lawn. Antique Market
Happens June 4: From 7 am-4 pm, over 100 vendors
