April 30 Kite Komotion Benefits LCYC: Shipshewana
retailer “Head Over Heels” and other local sponsors
are teaming up with the LaGrange Communities Youth
Centers to offer “Kite Komotion” on Saturday, April 30.
This clinic and festival begins at 11:00 a.m. and
continues until 4:00 p.m. at the Shipshewana Town
Center/Hostetler Hudson Auto Museum, located at
760 S. Van Buren Street. The event is free to the public.

Shipshewana Quilt Festival June 22-25: Registration
has already begun for this four-day occasion that
welcomes over 2,500 guests annually. This festival
has been voted as one of the top 100 events in North
America, as voted by the American Bus Association.
The quilt festival features workshops, displays, and
keynote speaker Kaye England.
Quilt Festival attendees can purchase Shop Hop
Passports: For only $5, the passport will provide a tote for
carrying goodies and entrance into eight local retailers.

Barn Quilt Tour Launches June 21: Visitors will
delight in ten stunning quilt patterns painted on barns
woven throughout the county. Along the way, they will
also discover other family-owned treasures in the area.
LaGrange County Residents: To participate in the
Barn Quilt Tour, pick up an application at the LCCVB
at 780 S. Van Buren Street, or at the LaGrange, Topeka,
and Shipshewana libraries.
Entertainment
“The Confession” Opens June 1: Based on books
by nationally-acclaimed author Beverly Lewis, this
musical drama, on stage only at the Blue Gate Theater,
runs through December 3. A variety of ticket packages
are offered.
The Oak Ridge Boys In Concert June 4: Come to
the Blue Gate Theater to see up close and personal
the legendary group who went double-platinum in the
1980s with their album, “Fancy Free.” They’ll feature
both old songs like “Elvira” and “Bobby Sue” along with
their new songs “Closer to Home and “Did I Make A
Difference?”
