Tony Steglich
Tony Steglich is one of those few
kids in high school who lives with
the motto of, “Live with no regrets.”
Steglich would much rather spend
the night cheering up a friend going
through a rough time than doing a
homework assignment. However, he
has made it through high school with
high enough grades to be accepted into
a few colleges as well as high enough
to be on the wrestling team for four
years.
Tony has also been involved with
soccer, Spanish club, been a member of
the junior class officers, and was on the
Prom Committee.
Steglich has stuck with arguably,
the toughest sport, wrestling, because
it has built a lot of character and is
just something he does. He had been
wrestling since he was in sixth grade
until his senior year ended in the
regional tournament. “Westview is
a special place to play because you’re
representing a top school.”
He wanted to thank his coach, Joel
Pippenger, for helping him become
a much better athlete and a more
disciplined person.
His favorite high school sports
moment was winning the East
Noble Invitational with a last second
takedown.
Other than wrestling, Tony has
been a fixation in the halls of Westview
the past four years. His favorite classes
have been U.S. History and Advanced
P.E. He enjoys lifting and always makes
sure to do his “curls for the girls.”
His favorite teachers have been Les
Hively, Dawn Cowley, Matthew Tibbs,
and Ron Yoder. He wanted to especially
apologize if he had ever created any
